Michael Bendok
(Co-President)

Michael is a junior studying Economics and Data Science. He is interested in expanding renewable energy to both de-carbonize the U.S. electric grid and mitigate global energy poverty. As co-president of SEC, Michael hopes to bring together all Stanford students who are passionate about a diverse array of energy problems and solutions. When he isn’t working on energy startups or research, Michael enjoys partaking in photography, guitar, and basketball.

Lily lyu
(co-president)

Lily is a senior pursuing a B.A. in Economics and a B.S. in Earth Systems, specifically the Energy, Science and Technology track. She is from Beijing, China, and since coming to Stanford, has been especially captivated by topics at the intersection of her two majors, including environmental economics and energy markets. She hopes to one day promote market-based climate policies around the world through IGO/NGO work. In her free time, you can catch her at the gym or grabbing too many cups of coffee.

 
 
 

KEVIN SONG
(Co-president)

Kevin (‘25) is pursuing a degree in Civil & Environmental Engineering, on the Climate & Energy track. He cares about all things sustainability, especially sustainable and affordable housing. In his free time, he likes playing the cello and piano, cooking and eating, and playing Pokémon!

 

Teddy Hickenlooper
(VICE PRESIDENT OF Business development)

Teddy is a junior studying Energy Resources Engineering hoping to co-term in computer science. I grew up in Colorado and am a huge skier, camper, and hiker. I love learning about the different ways that we produce and use energy, and am looking forward to being a part of SEC exec this year.

Christopher Perez
(VICE PRESIDENT OF Design and Brand)

Chris is a senior studying engineering physics with a concentration in renewable energy. Being from Florida, he is passionate about mitigating the effects of climate change while significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions. In his free time, he is either at the gym or watching his favorite sports, soccer and Formula 1.

Marco Sie
(CO-VICE PRESIDENT OF PROJECTS)

Marco is a junior studying Electrical Engineering. Being from the tropical country of Indonesia, he cares especially about working with renewables and solar energy. In his free time, Marco enjoys reading books, playing badminton and scrolling Wikipedia

Vivek Vajipey
(CO-VICE PRESIDENT OF EVENTS)

Vivek is a junior studying Computer Science. He is interested in the applications of machine learning and data science to the optimization of sustainable technology.

Griffin Clark
(CO-VICE PRESIDENT OF EVENTS)

Griffin is a senior studying Chemical Engineering and Materials Science. He is passionate about mitigating the negative effects of climate change and is always eager to learn about new ways to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from our energy systems and beyond. Griffin is a runner and enjoys his time in the Ocean, taking every opportunity to go surfing or kiteboarding in his free time
